Pure Outdoors (Jasper) Ltd Equipment Rental Policy

MAKING A RESERVATION

To confirm a reservation we require your contact information, a valid credit card on file, a refundable payment, and a signature on your rental agreement. Your order will not be considered ‘reserved’ until payment and signed contract are received.

PAYMENTS

Payments can be made in any of the following ways: credit card, Interac, cash, email transfer, direct deposit or PayPal.  We take payments in person, over the phone, by email, by mail or through our website. You must pay the final balance on your account at any point before your rental date, but we must receive payment before the items will be delivered or picked up.

LATE FEES

A non-refundable $50 per hour late fee will apply to the following:

  • Late arrivals for any scheduled delivery meeting times

  • Any equipment rentals returned on the rental end date after 7 pm 

CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS

Your satisfaction is important to us.  The day you book, the items ordered are considered out of our inventory for your rental date(s) and thus made unavailable to other potential customers.  This ensures you will have all the items you need on the date(s) you require them. Because of this, we do have certain policies regarding changes to your order.

Any changes or cancellations must be received by Pure Outdoors (Jasper) Ltd a minimum of 3 days prior to your rental date.  Any changes or cancellations within 3 days will be subject to a cancellation fee.

Any increases in your numbers must be made a minimum of 3 days prior to your pick-up or delivery, and are subject to item availability.  These items will be billed separately. See our Cancellation Policy below for more detailed information.

If you need to reschedule your booking and provide more than 72 hours’ notice, there is no fee.  If less than 72 hours is provided, there is a one-day rental per item fee charge that will be added to your booking total charge.

 

Extensions to your booking can only be made subject to availability.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Reductions in quantity or cancellations must be made a minimum of 3 days prior to your rental date to avoid penalties.  Any cancellations within 3 days of the rental date will be subject to a penalty of 20% of the total rental rate of the cancelled item(s) plus taxes.  

In the event of inclement weather (Lightning, torrential downpour, heavy snowfall or subject to public evacuation such as a forest fire) your booking will be fully refunded.

RENTAL PERIOD

The rental period is based on the type of equipment rented.  Please see the product and/or package description for more details.  Should you need the items longer than the original rental period, please contact us and ask about our multi-day rates.  

PICKING-UP YOUR RENTAL EQUIPMENT

Unless special arrangements have been made prior to your pick-up, you may select to pick-up your summer rental equipment the night before the rental start date any time from 7 pm – 8 pm.  Either you or someone else may pick up your order. If another person will be picking up the equipment, they will need to know what name your order is booked under and settle any remaining balance owing on the account.  If you require your rental earlier than the set pick-up times on the day before your rental date, you may contact Pure Outdoors (Jasper) Ltd to see if it will be available earlier. You are responsible for any and all damage that may occur during transportation to and from our store location.

DELIVERY & PICK-UP

Delivery rates are based on drop off location.  All deliveries require the signature of a responsible party for the equipment to be left.  Should you require delivery to a location not specified on our website, please request a quote prior to booking your rental equipment.

Delivery times are set based on location.  Please see the delivery locations for more details.  Should you have special delivery requests, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.  As there are many deliveries in a day it is not always possible to give exact delivery times. For an additional fee it is possible to arrange for before – and after-hours deliveries, as well as time-specific deliveries.  Contact us at [email protected] for more details.

PLEASE CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOUR ORDER IS CORRECT AND COMPLETE

We do our best to make sure your order is complete.  If you discover any missing or damaged items upon receipt, please contact us immediately so that we may make a note on your account and make arrangements to replace the items if desired.  If it is after store hours, please leave a message. We will contact you as soon as possible. May factors may contribute to items being lost or damaged during a rental period. We do not accept disputes after a rental period is over.

RETURNS OF RENTAL EQUIPMENT

If you will not be returning the items yourself or present for the pick-up, or will not be in contact after your rental date, Pure Outdoors (Jasper) Ltd will require the name and contact information of the person who will be responsible for your rental.  It is best to appoint one trustworthy person to be in charge of the return.

Any returns after the rental period will be charged double the daily rental rate of each day late.

You are responsible for returning all rental equipment in clean, dry, and in working condition.  If the equipment you return is damaged, needs repair or cleaning, you will be responsible for the additional charges. Rates will vary based on time, plus the cost of parts and materials needed to repair or replace damaged equipment.  You will be charged the full retail value for lost, stolen or destroyed rental equipment.
