At Pure Outdoors, we prioritize safety and compliance with all relevant regulations to ensure the well-being of our customers and the environment. Effective immediately, renters of freighter canoes equipped with electric motors must possess a valid Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) issued by the Government of Canada.
The PCOC is a mandatory certification for anyone operating a powered watercraft in Canada, including electric motor-propelled vessels. This requirement is in accordance with the regulations outlined by Transport Canada, the governing body responsible for marine transportation regulations in Canada.
